There is no soundbar I've ever heard that I would even waste time comparing to the Dragon. The real questions are if you value tis sort of a system, is a cheaper less effective system "good enough", is 4K in your budget for speakers, or do you want an absolutely top of the line component system with AVR no matter what the costs. The simple reason is that the dragon is worth 4K is because there is nothing else like it anywhere near that price, honestly there is no other wireless 3000 watt system even available at any price. I know I my one regret in getting this system is that I will probably end up damaging my hearing. At 50+ it feels like my head is vibrating. I've tested about 20 movies (not all of them just the good parts) and my music (EDM hardstyle) just rocks the house down. I've only had the Dragon a day so far but the immersive effects when watching Atmos or DTS are like night and day from the 9.2.4, the loudness and clarity are also beyond comparison. I tis far from a soundbar, I have those and this is a totally different animal. I have to agree with many of your points. I have tried in the price range and it sounded nothing like the experience with the Dragon does. I have found with this system I have re-watched movies just to see the difference. They (DRAGON Concierge) have been great, While I know we are not talking to the CEO it almost feels like it in how they respond to requests and what they share. To the point I am revisiting movies and the system seems to bring new life to movies I thought I remembered. Dune is amazing on the system - Also Ghost in a Shell, Maverick, and well just about anything I have listened too. It sounds better than my previous two systems put together. Quad subs are next level - Previous system was Denon with ELAC speakers, Sub and Center with Definitive Surrounds - Honestly the Dragon is next level in comparison to that system and the Denon setup I had before that. Also my system never really performed in my specific environment as I thought it should, while the Dragon seems to sound better with barely 30 min of setup time. 10 Speakers gone, 100 lbs of wiring, Receiver, etc. One of the biggest items that hit me after removing my entire previous AV system setup is the amount of complexity I have shed from my life with the all wireless solution. Mainly this system sounds better than anything I have had and basically saved me 5k for the system I was putting together before I found out this existed. Water effects towards the end truly felt like they were splashing off the ceiling and completely engulfing the sides of me when Moses split the sea in two. I don't think you guys are prepared for how well the dragon does in terms of 3d audio I watched Prince of Egypt on 4K blu ray using dts x pro.

So far I must say this system is delivering and nothing I have heard Sonos arc, q990b, Ht-a9 can match the spatial bubble, clarity, or power that the dragon has. Instruments were vibrant, vocals were clear, and bass was detailed and packed a real punch throughout.

The song was fully utilizing all of dragons speakers and my oh my did this mode deliver. This is a stereo track so I went ahead and engaged all channel stereo and again I could not believe what I was hearing. As recommended by nakamichi in the starter guide I played rolling in the deep by Adele. No other speaker I have tried including Sony Ht-a9 and Samsung q990b can provide this much accuracy in terms of placement. The airplane demo blew anything I heard on the a9 out of the water in terms of 3d audio.
